Learn More About Us

Studio U is a hair salon designed through the lens of the client. We aim to create beautiful looks suited to our clients' needs and wants. Whether you prefer a style that is easy to maintain or want to replicate a look you saw on a celebrity, we can do whatever you like.

Our unique design concept is the result of our award-winning hairstylist and owner, Tim Ferrier. His belief is that profit doesn't have to compete with customer service and the quality of results. Instead, he believes a hair salon should be fun and functional, offering the highest in quality and making the client always feel comfortable and welcomed. That is exactly what Studio U offers.

When designing his salon, Tim considered everything, from the lighting to the position of each station, to ensure the ideal environment. For instance, the mirrors at each station serve as portrait frames on easels, making each client feel like the subject of a beautiful painting. Tim wants his clients to feel good about themselves and his salon lives up to that.

At Studio U, our clients own the salon and we manage it for them. We are here to serve your hair care needs so that you leave with the look you want at a price you can afford.

Read what one of our clients had to say about us:

"Okay, here goes, Studio U is totally unique. It is a haircut and color and so much more. It really is all about you. What you want your hair to do. How you like to wear it. How you can style it to make it look like when you walk out of the shop. And, Tim? The owner is simply amazing as a person. He is that rare good person. Not intrusive, but he listens. About hair or anything else on your mind. He is a master stylist who knows hair. The results are like NYC or LA. He does not pressure for products, not at all. Zero. This was one of my very best hair appointments. Pretty much perfect. If you have any salon needs and are in the downtown area, this is the place to go. Seriously, this is it. xoox"
